Baton Rouge, Louisiana (PSF) - The Lady Tigers performed an outstanding season this year, pushing their way to their first national title. The super stellar team was led by Louisiana native and amazing coach, Kim Mulkey, who is known to obtain winning seasons and titles. This year’s team also had staggering players such as Angel Reese, Alexis Morris, Flau’jae Johnson, and Jasmine Carson. However, there a some players that will not be returning for the 2023-2024 season. Alexis Morris was drafted into the WNBA by the Connecticut Sun, and then she was unfortunately waived before the start of the season. Jasmine Carson declared for the draft, but unfortunately, she was not selected. Morris and Carson have moved on from LSU and are seeking to place their talents in the professional realm.

Luckily for the Tigers, Angel Reese and Flau’jae Johnson are still a dynamic duo on the court. LSU is also gaining Hailey Van Lith, the No. 1 player in the transfer portal. Van Lith is a junior guard transferring from Louisville and a great prospect to stand in place of Alexis Morris. The national champs has also managed to gain another standout in the transfer portal, Anessah Morrow. Morrow is coming in hot from DePaul, as she averages 25.7 points per game.

In addition to landing some big time transfers, LSU is snagging up six-foot Mikaylah Williams. Williams is an incoming freshman that was ranked No. 2 of her 2023 class. Kim Mulkey seems to have an amazing offensive roster for this upcoming season. Can LSU see victory for a second year in a row?
