With March madness in season one particular team has been setting the bar for Historically Black Colleges or Universities, HBCUs, Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas. The Texas Southern men’s basketball team is in the NCAA Division I and has been doing spectacular in their journey of qualifying for March madness. With star players John Walker III,  Brison Gresham, PJ Henry, and Bryson Etienne TSU has been rising. On March 15, 2022, TSU had beat Texas A & M Corpus Christi with a game winning by 10 points. 

  Although the first quarter might have been close, in the lead by only 2 points the second quarter is what started the gap between TSU and Texas A & M CC winning by 7 points in the second quarter. Now that Texas Southern Universities mens basketball team had defeated Texas A&M CC, TSU is now on their journey of March Madness and will be playing the University of Kansas on March 18, 2022. With many seniors on TSU’s men’s basketball team I believe that they are trying to go all out this year for a championship win.
