Iowa City, IA (PSF)– Another historic March Madness has ended, with two new champions in both the men’s and women’s tournaments. This time, the women’s tournament took the spotlight as the media finally got to witness arguably the best college basketball player, regardless of gender in Caitlin Clark.

Caitlin Clark is a junior at the University of Iowa, who just won National Player of the Year. She is a sensational player to watch if you haven’t seen her change of direction, the way she reads the defense is almost as if she is Peyton Manning calling an abundance of audibles to make the best move that will get a bucket. The pace at which she plays is astounding and everyone that is a fan of basketball must watch her play. Did I also mention that she shoots from the logo with ease!?

What makes her stand out is her love for her team and her team-first mentality. She always emphasizes how the only reason she is successful in the sport is because of her teammates and coaches that set her up to be the best player she could be.

In the Iowa Hawkeyes tournament run, Clark averaged 27.8 points per game, 7.1 rebounds, and 8.6 assists. Her historic run ended in the championship game, falling to LSU. Clark broke the National Championship game record for three’s in the loss, with eight threes in the game.

Clark has two more years of eligibility left, as she will look to continue to amplify the game of basketball for women.
