Who is Jocelyn Alo ?
Jocelyn Alo is a twenty-three year old utility player from the University of Oklahoma. Alo joined the Oklahoma Sooners as a freshman in 2018.
While only a freshman Jocelyn was named USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year. It is exceptional for Alo to receive this award as a freshman. Jocelyn is number two in NCAA Division one softball lead with a batting average of .515.
Jocelyn is known for her home run records. Jocelyn has a total 120 career home runs. This allowed Jocelyn to finish her softball career at Oklahoma, with the title of the NCAA’s all-time home run leader. She was also able to complete three 30-homer seasons.
With Alo’s statistics and determination, this should not be the end of her career. The National Pro Fastpitch league would be an excellent option for Jocelyn. I feel as if Jocelyn could make an enormous impact on The NPF. Jocelyn should not allow this to be the end of her Softball career.
Alo stated to the NCAA that “I love this game and I’m sad to be walking away from it”. Her contribution to NCAA Softball will always be remembered as she is labeled as a legend. This is through current and future NCAA Softball athletics.
