BIG 12 FOOTBALL TRANSFERS

The NCAA transfer portal has a lot of talented players who are hungry to play. 13 out of the 14 schools in the Big 12 conference have added at least 5 players from the portal. Baylor, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and TCU have 90 accounted transfers. Whereas Cincinnati, Houston, UCF, and BYU have 78 transfers that they are hoping will help build them up, so they are ready to compete in the Big 12.

BYU Offensive Tackle Caleb Etienne: While at Oklahoma he became an exceptional left tackle. He decided to leave Oklahoma for BYU where he will play a crucial role on the offensive line that has lost some of their starters. Etienne was one of the two offensive players to start in every game last season.

Houston Quarterback Donovan Smith: The Cougars have a big role to fill since the five-year starter Clayton Tune left. In this career, Donovan Smith threw for more than 11,000 yards. Although Smith is coming in hot since he has a lot of game experience after being a starter at Texas Tech for two years. He will have to work harder to make sure he lowers his number of turnovers as that has become an issue.

UCF Cornerback Decorian Patterson: Coach Gus Malzahn has been intense throughout the transfer portal process. Patterson from Middle Tennessee looks to be able to make a difference. He has more than 10.5 tackles for loss and about 180 tackles in his whole career. Also has seven interceptions in 2022, earning All-Conference USA honors. With his last year of eligibility, he will be able to be positioned as either a safety or cornerback.
