The Rookie of The Year Award for the 2023-2024 season will ultimately come down between two players. Victor Wembanyama, a center for the San Antonio Spurs and Chet Holmgren, a power forward for the Oklahoma Thunder. These two players perform at relatively the same skill level, but a key deciding factor in who will be Rookie of the Year will be in playing time. Holmgren has been given more opportunities to display his skills on the court, which he has fully taken advantage of. Holmgren has already surpassed former player Jeremiah Robinson-Earl who held a record of 658 points scored which had earned him the 45th spot for most points scored for the Thunder. The most points scored in a season is now held by Holmgren with 665 points. With quite a bit of season ahead of them, will these efforts be enough for Holmgren to be awarded Rookie of The Year for the 2023-2024 season?
