Where does Tobias fit?
The start of the Sixer’s new era is off to a great start. Most of the major things fans have been watching for have been going smooth. Joel Embiid and James Harden have both looked like superstars. Tyreese Maxey has fit in like a glove and other players are fitting in.
There have been some minor issues like a backup center, but there has the biggest issue has been how Tobias harris fits in with the team. Fans have been very worried at how Harris has looked, but there has been a lot of good moments as well.
The Bad:
The main issue early is Harris turning down shots and not being aggressive when he needs to be.
These are shots he passed up and long-term that are not good for the team. He only shot three 3-point attempts last game after having 11 the previous 2 games.
The Good
Harris has been more aggressive from 3 with Harden, however, it will be a process to get him where the team needs him to be. The Harden-Harris PnP has worked well so far and it is something they can go to more while Joel is sitting on the bench.
Tobias also has played better defense against Randle and KAT in these 3 games and has shown a lot of effort to try to fit in. He has clearly tried to step up on defense all year and it is a welcomed sight.
There has also been a lot of players called to try to get Harris going and get him in a position to try and score. Also, he has been trying to get on the offensive glass and he has had some great cuts.
He also has gotten great shots and opportunities so far. I believe he can fit in. However, it will have to be quick with 20 games left.
