What Should be the Lakers Starting Five?

New York, New York (PSF) - The Los Angeles Lakers arguably won day one of free agency for this offseason by signing Gabe Vincent, Cam Reddish, Taurean Prince, and Jaxson Hayes. Also retaining D’Angelo Russell, Jared Vanderbilt, Austin Reaves, and Rui Hachimura who were vital pieces for them.

The Lakers have a few more roster spots open, and it is believed they’ll try to sign another big wing that should complete the roster. The starting five that were on the court during the playoffs were LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Austin Reaves, Jared Vanderbilt, and Russell.

When the Lakers won the 2020 NBA Championship, their starting group contain two big men, Anthony Davis and JaVale McGee, along with Dwight Howard coming off the bench. The Lakers should try to do the same thing this year by trying to sign a big man. Reports have said the Lakers may start Hayes with Davis, which makes sense and seems like a good fit.

I would like to see a lineup with LeBron, Davis, Russell, Reaves, and Hayes, or if they want more of a defensive presence, either go with Vanderbilt or Prince unless the Lakers sign a free-agent big man that’s still on the market.
