What is going on with Ja Morant?

Memphis, Tennessee (PSF) - What in the world is going on with Ja Morant? If there is anything we have learned throughout this season it is that Ja Morant is actively trying to make it out of the NBA.

This whole situation started with Morant during the playoffs last season after his Memphis Grizzlies lost to the soon to be champions Golden State Warriors in the second round. There were kids making fun of Morant on Twitter after the series and Morant responded with “It’s free to see how hollows feel.” This is basically threatening a kid with a gun, and on Twitter where the whole public can see.

Earlier this season a report came out that Morant had assault charges filed against him for beating up a 17-year-old kid and reportedly pointed a gun at him. Soon after that the Indiana Pacers were in Memphis for a game and after the game reports came out that the Pacers team bus said they had red lasers pointed at them indicating it was a gun. It was believed that Morant himself was in that car too.

After all that a lot of fans and players from all other sports were calling out Morant and telling him to relax which he eventually did until this past week. A report came out that Morant’s mother was shopping at a store in a mall and was being harassed by an employee there. Pedestrians in the mall said Ja Morant then arrived at the mall with a group of 9 others and was then accused of beating up the mall cop. Last but not least Ja Morant was seen flexing a gun in a nightclub on his Instagram live the other night.

The Grizzlies have suspended Morant for the next few games as he stated he needs some time to focus on himself. For as exciting as a player that Morant is he really has made some selfish mistakes. I hope he realizes that he is an NBA superstar and can start taking care of himself off the court.
