Warriors Stay Hot In OKC

The Golden State Warriors are currently the hottest team in the NBA. After Sunday's win in Oklahoma, the Dubs streak has reached 9 straight games. Klay Thompson planted his flag once again in OKC after hitting another dagger 3 to put the game out of reach. There are very few arenas that Klay shoots better in as we all remember the deadly “Game 6 Klay'' back in 2016. Only two and a half games back from the Western Conference leading Suns, it’s going to be a photo finish for 1st place which will be very important come playoff time.

Head Coach Steve Kerr mentioned before the game that “We can bump Klay up to thirty minutes tonight” which is a great sign for the Warriors. Having their sniper and wing defender playing thirty plus minutes a game is crucial because he plays such a significant role on both ends of the court for the Dubs. Four time all-star Draymond Green has missed the last 17 games with a variety of injuries and the Warriors are so deep and so focused that they haven’t missed a beat during that stretch. Once Draymond is back and the Warriors are at full strength, the league could be in serious trouble. We’ve seen what Steph, Klay, and Dray can do when on the court together and with one of the deepest benches in the league there’s no reason to expect that they can’t continue to dominate.

The Warriors have a tough five game stretch left before the All-Star break and will look to finish strong. With the present streak and solid all-around play, the Warriors may have mixed feelings about taking a week off considering how well they’re playing right now. Dubs fans across the world are thrilled the “Splash Brothers” and the winning culture are back in the Bay. Is there a more dangerous team to play in a seven game series? From my perspective, the answer’s a clear no.
