Warriors Lack of Size Cost them the win against the Timberwolves Sunday Night
Disappointing game for the Warriors tonight in their matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves, losing 116-110. There were concerns coming into tonight’s game, the Warrior’s still lacking size, unsure of how their men would stack up offensively against Minnesota's physicality and bigger players.
Curry put up 38 points, had five rebounds and three assists leading the Warriors and being the top performer. Dario Saric led the team with rebounds, pulling back ten and Draymond Green led the team in assists with seven.
Defensively, the Warriors had a big problem. Their lack of size really showed against the Timberwolves bigger players. The Timberwolves put up 24 more points than the Warriors in the paint. The Warriors don’t have any one key player protecting the paint, giving up key shots that ended up losing them the game. Alongside the lack of size, Coach Kerr’s coaching was questioned during the game, his seeming inability to accept change and switch up player rotations is hurting the team. With players like Moody or Kuminga available and ready to play, it’s hard to commend his coaching.
