These Two prospects are not being talked about enough

The 2023 NBA Draft is just two months away, and people are already anticipating the top three picks to be Victor Wembanyama, Scoot Henderson, and Brandon Miller. However, People are not talking about two prospects that will be top-five picks, and did I mention they are twins?

Ausar and Amen Thompson climbed draft boards last year when they decided to forgo College and attend Overtime Elite. That decision turned out in their favor as they were both the faces of the new Overtime Elite team.

Ausar was named the regular season MVP of OTE and has captured every MVP award at OTE through its first two seasons. He averaged 16.3 points and 7.1 rebounds per game. Ausar struggled from three, but as the season went on started to develop that three-ball and really got going. His strength is his defense, as he had at least three steals in seven of 15 games. His versatility and pure length will make him an immediate plug-and-play wing in the NBA.

Amen Thompson is rated the better of the twins as he has more ball handling and shooting ability while having the same defensive mind as his twin Ausar.

Amen was named to the All-OTE First Team after leading the City Reapers to the championship. He averaged 16.4 points, 5.9 assists, and 5.9 rebounds per game during the regular season at OTE while averaging 27.5 minutes per game. In the playoffs, Amen stepped up his game, averaging 17.2 points, 9.2 assists, and 7.2 rebounds per game.

Amen will be a superstar in the league as the trend of big guards is starting to grow in the NBA with players like Cade Cunningham, LaMelo Ball, and Luka Doncic.

There has been a lot of chatter around the league that this could be another Morris twin situation. Marcus Morris was selected by the Houston Rockets with the 14th overall pick in the 2011 NBA draft, five minutes after his brother Markieff was taken with the 13th pick by the Phoenix Suns. However, it is different.

The Thompson twins bring immediate energy on the defensive end and facilitation on offense. If they continue developing that three-pointer over time, they should be faces of the NBA for years to come and should have people excited about what they can bring to the NBA.
