The Celtics are figuring it out

The Celtics are firing on ALL cylinders ladies and gentlemen. A number 2 defense and winning 14 of their last 16 games have prompted the entire league to take a look back in Boston. Thereβs tons of reasons for these changes, a revitalized defense and Jayson Tatum arriving in perfect fashion to the occasion. The Celtics have posted 118pts per game with Tatum on the court contrary to a 110. HIs decision making has visibly increased, probing through plays getting to his spots as well as looking for teammates. HIs scoring has become more efficient, and prominent. A 54 pt game 2 nights ago put any hope the Nets had to bed.
Rising from a top 20 Defense to a top 5 has taken the whole league aback. The scheme has changed since the Stevens era, with Walker gone they have no small guard that has to hide away from the action. Instead they switch 1 through 5 between all their starters which has stifled teams to say the least.
Robert Williams had taken this defense to another level, his weak side help has been nothing short of spectacular. He can go out on most wings and bigs but he primarily stays towards their backline in order to get the most from his utility. With that being said heβs averaged 2.5 blks and a 1.5 stls in his last 10.
The last member in the Frontcourt Al Horford is the savvy veteran every team should look for when building their team. Heβs shooting 44% from deep, 51% in the corner. His playmaking value has been a favorable asset for the Celtics, allowing them to run even if the ball ends up in his hands. His physical tools allow him to switch and stifle defenders as well.
The Celtics move on to play the struggling Hornets at 7pm today so tune in to see how they keep there streak going.
