10 Team’s Most and Least Expensive Players

Timberwolves

Most expensive is Rudy Gobert

First, I want to point out that Gobert does not deserve his contract. To put it simply, he was a good defender on the Jazz but has not been since. His contract was a five-year $205 million, and the haul given up for him will go down as one of the worst trades in NBA history.

Least expensive is Josh Minott

Minott hasn’t played much to my knowledge, but he signed a four-year $6,944,795 contract.

Thunder

Most expensive is Shai Gilgeous Alexander

Shai signed a five-year $179 million contract with the Thunder, averaging 31.4 points per game (PPG), 4.8 rebounds per game (RPG), 5.5 assists per game (APG), while shooting at a 51 percent field goal percentage(FG%). Those are MVP numbers, just imagine what those numbers could look like on a team with Chet Holmgren.

Least expensive is Jack White

Signed a two-year $3,922,463 contract with the Thunder.

Magic

Most expensive is Markelle Fultz

This former number one overall pick signed a three-year $50 million contract. The Magic has a great young core they seem fully invested in. This whole team seems to be on rookie contracts which is good, but also, with the combination of Paolo Banchero, Franz Wagner, and Fultz, this will be a very good team a long time down the road.

Least expensive is Caleb Houston

Signed a four-year $8,207,398 contract with the Magic.

76ers

Most expensive is Joel Embiid

Embiid earned a four-year $213 million contract after attaining his all star status. There have been rumblings recently that Joel is unhappy, and might request a trade once James Harden leaves. The Knicks have emerged as the best trade suitors.

Least expensive is Mo Bamba

He signed a one-year $2.3 million contract after barely playing with the Lakers this season.

Trailblazers

Most expensive is Damian Lillard

Before asking for a trade, Lillard earned a contract worth $176 million contract with the Trailblazers after spending 11 years with the organization. It would be hard for anyone to leave an organization after a long time, but when Lillard is 36 and making $63 million, not sure if it’s worth it.

Least expensive Keon Johnson

He signed a four-year $12.5 million contract with the LA Clippers before being moved to the Blazers.

Kings

Most expensive is Deaaron Fox

This year he lead the Kings to their first playoff performance in about 15 years. No doubt this was enough for the Kings. The trade that took place between Sacramento and Indiana helped both teams improve in some aspect. Tyrese Haliburton is going to do amazing things in this league, same with Fox. Fox got a five-year $163,000,300 contract for his all star play and his future superstardom.

Least expensive is Kessler Edwards

Hasn’t been given many minutes since the trade from the Nets, but he signed a two-year $3.5 million contract in 2022.

Spurs

Most expensive is Keldon Johnson

Johnson earned his contract while spending some time with the Spurs, a four-year $74 million contract. He will work well next to Victory Wembanyama.

Least expensive is Sandro Mamukelashvili

One-year $2 million deal with Spurs.

Raptors

Most expensive Pascal Siakam

Siakim earned his contract during the Kawahi era in Toronto. He signed a four-year $136,905,216 with Toronto.

Least expensive Christian Koloko

He signed a three-year $5,239,563 contract with the Toronto Raptors

Wizards

The most expensive is Jordan Poole

Poole signed a four-year $128 million contract with the Golden State Warriors, before being traded for Chris Paul and sent to the Wizards.

The least expensive is Ryan Rollins

Signed a three-year $4,757,344 contract with the Golden State Warriors! And again, was sent in the same deal as Jordan Poole.
