Target Center’s Rising Admission Prices

This season the Timberwolves have played basketball with success that hasn’t been seen in years from the team. With much excitement this year's team has brought an astounding record of 32-14, tying for first against the Oklahoma Thunder in the Western Conference. Timberwolves are 10-1 at home, all sellout games at Target Center. A sellout crowd for Target Center is approximately 20,000 people, so the Wolves have had huge momentum from their enormous crowd.

With their success, the Timberwolves have shown to have a promising future ahead of them.  Their success has led to changes within the franchise, as a recent decision to increase admission fees by 20% was passed. The Wolves have some of the cheapest ticket prices in the league with admission ranging from $7 to $15,456. The average price for tickets is about $200, the increase would still mean the Timberwolves ticket prices are still lower than most. Many question whether the raise in ticket prices will decrease the revenue for Target Center, but it is almost guaranteed that if the Timberwolves remain on a successful stretch this will have no impact for fans.
