Dallas will be at a significant disadvantage coming into game 1 with Luka Doncic missing game 1. Doncic suffered a calf injury at the last game of the season. Worst thing the Mavs can deal with right now is their star player injury against a Utah Jazz team. Mavs is very concerned with Doncic game 2 availability. The Mavs are still a very good team but they will need Doncic to win the series.
Utah Jazz are in the perfect matchup series with Doncic not playing. Jazz has the opportunity to steal a couple games depending on Doncic availability. Jazz has been struggling most of the season. Jazz went from being #2 seed last season to #5 seed. The Jazz have struggled in the playoffs in recent years. Will they struggle continue or will the Jazz rise to prominence?
Memphis Grizzlies vs Minnesota Timberwolves: Prediction Grizzlies 4-1
The Memphis Grizzlies have been playing great all season. Grizzlies led by Ja Morant are extremely confident in winning the series against the Timberwolves. They have played like a team all season. They won most of their games when Morant was not playing. The team has gained experience from last season and itโs starting to gel together. Memphis will be a force to be reckoned with in this year's playoffs.
Minnesota is coming off a playoff win against the LA Clippers. Karl Anthony Towns got in foul trouble and was extremely frustrated throughout the game. With the help of Patrick Belivery and Anthony Edwards, they pulled off the win. Twovles got a lot of young talent there but Memphis is on a mission this year. I have it 4-1 but it could go 7 games.

Toronto Raptors vs Philadelphia 76ers: Prediction Philly 4-3
The 76ers made a big trade to get James Harden for Ben Simmons. Joel Embiid has been playing on an MVP level. The team has to go on games 3 and 4 without their best defensive player Thybulle. The 76ers are in a lot of trouble because it's putting the pressure on them to go up 2-0 after game 2 to Toronto for games 3 and 4. Harden and Embiid could be one of the best 1-2 punch lines in history. We will see how Philly can rise up and get to the finals
Toronto is a team who is on the up and up. Team led by rookie Scottie Barnes has had a good season with his first year on the team. The Toronto team is a very good defensive team. Toronto could have a gameplan on how to guard Joel and Harden. The team could very much win this series depending on their defensive ability.
This might be the best series in the Eastern Conference.
Denver Nuggets vs Golden State Warriors Prediction: 4-2 GS
Denver Nuggets led by last year MVP Nikola Jokiฤ who is having another monster season this year. He wonโt have Murray or Porter for the series. It will be tough on Jokiฤ to handle a team like Golden State with much upside. Jokiฤ will put up monster numbers. They will need Aaron Gordan to match the same stats as Klay Thompson.
Golden State has been a team on the up and down. GS had the best record in the league at one point of the season but fell off due to injuries. They still made it to the third seed which is a good sign heading into the playoffs. Look for Curry and Klay to reach into their 2016 bag and take the series away from Denver.
