NBA Finals predictions

As much as I despise the Golden State Warriors, I would much rather the Celtics win the title, but unfortunately I do believe that the Warriors are going to win mainly due to the fact that they have much more experience being in the finals. Despite the Warriors having more experience, the Celtics have more younger guys and are more athletic overall. The Warriors core group Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Drayond Green have been in the finals many times before and they know what it takes to win, plus adding Andrew Wiggens during the season causes more trouble. Supporting roles including Jordan Poole and Kevin Looney are playing their part defensively, grabbing the defensive rebound and blocking shots. For the Celtics on the other hand, none of their players have played at this stage. They will put up a good fight but I got Warriors in five.

Like Draymond said, the main factor that the Celtics have going for them is their defense but with Curry and Klay on the other side of the floor with their shooting abilities, it’s going to be hard to shut them down. The Celtics only have as much experience as up to the Eastern Conference Finals, where they were shut down by Lebron James when he played for his hometown team the Cleveland Cavaliers when he beat them by himself.

The Celtics will obviously heavily on their star player Jayson Tatum along side Jaylen Brown but they need their defensive players such as Marcus Smart and Al Horford to step up offensively as well. It would be an interesting series if the Celtics can steal one or two games on the road, but with the Warriors fan base and high atmosphere, it’s going to be quite a challenge for Tatum and company.

We all want to see a good series and see 6 or 7 games to decide a winner but the Warriors are just too strong offensively with their three point scoring abilities and their ability to score off the dribble.
