Los Angeles Lakers think LeBron is the problem?
According to Bleacher Reports’ Chris Haynes, the Lakers organization can’t decide how to utilize Lebron James going into this season. I’m baffled the organization thinks James is the issue with the team.
This Lakers roster was never a well-constructed team, they can’t shoot the ball from three, and they don’t rebound particularly well. To make matters worse, they lost the one redeeming quality they had in defense as the season progressed.
The issue with this team was never James. It’s always been Anthony Davis. From the very start, when the Lakers traded for Davis, the idea was that James would take a step back for Davis to shine. Davis was meant to be the team’s star leading them, and for James to assist him in that.
However, Davis can’t seem to remain healthy for a significant amount of time, and this constantly has the Lakers shuffling around lineups. Fixing the Lakers means addressing whether or not Davis’ future is really with this team or not.
