Lakers Media Day
The Lakers are back and they are determined to win another championship for the city of Los Angeles. On September 28th the Lakers hosted Media Day for the players including superstars like LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and now Russell Westbrook who will provide much-needed playmaking and explosiveness in the backcourt.
With a mix of veterans, champions, and young players the Lakers have a dynamic team with the potential to have a historic run that could lead to another title. With new veterans such as Deandre Jordan, Carmelo Anthony the Lakers looked to add established players. In addition, they signed young and growing players such as Kendrick Nunn, Malik Monk, and now Austin Reeves. Last but not least, we get to see familiar faces back with the signings of Dwight Howard, Rajon Rondo, Trevor Ariza, Wayne Ellington, and Kent Bazemore. Clearly, the Lakers made it known that they want to win now while still having a secure future with rising players.
With the departure of Kyle Kuzma, Caldwell-Pope, Montreal Harrell, and fan Alex Caruso the Lakers will rely on new players to step up, especially Talen-Horten Tucker.
After a 3 day mini-camp that was created by LeBron, the Lakers are going into training camp with momentum and aspirations to raise up the 18th banner that would put them in first place with the most championships by a single organization.
