Keyonte George Showing out In Vegas
In a summer full of talk about a fantastic draft with talent at all five positions, one player has shown out in Vegas through his first two games, the 16th pick Keyonte George. George is averaging 29.5 points per game, 8.5 Assists per game on 53 percent from the field, and 44 percent from three. George was seen as a lottery selection for most of his first year at Baylor, but he suffered a late-season injury that led to him falling just out of the lottery. George has looked as explosive as ever in the summer league.
Keyonte slimming down has allowed him to get downhill a lot and attack the rim, which he seems to be taking to another level. The Jazz have a great young core with all-star Lauri Makkanken and Rookie of the Year candidate Walker Kessler. Keyonte is a bucket-getter with comparisons to new Phoenix Suns guard Bradley Beal, and the fit seems perfect as he can defend well, which will add another layer to a Jazz team that looks like it hit again on their draft picks and is continuing its growth with one of the best young teams in the Western Conference.
