Jaylen Brown Signs A Five-Year $304 Million Dollar Extension With The Boston Celtics
Boston Celtics All-Star Jaylen Brown has signed a five-year $304 million extension, that includes a trade kicker.
Brown has been a part of the Celtics Organization for seven years with two all-star appearances, Brown has been a crucial part of why the Celtics have been so successful the past five years.
Brown had the option to test free agency next summer once the contract he had signed back in 2019 for four-year $115 million was up. This summer, after the season had ended, there was a lot of speculation about whether or not Brown would be resigning in Boston. However, both sides of Brown and the Boston Celtics front office were both optimistic about getting a deal done.
Both Boston’s front office and Brown had reached an agreement of Brown signing a five-year $304 million deal which makes this contract the richest contract in NBA history.
This is a huge move for the Boston Celtics to make as the front office wants to keep the duo of Brown and Tatum for the long run to make another championship run.
