The Inside the NBA crew will be staying together for the foreseeable future after TNT announced just before the start of the season. The crew, featuring Ernie Johnson, Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley, and Kenny Smith, have signed long-term extensions with WBD Sports.

The chairman and CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery Sports, Luis Silberwasser, said in a statement, “Inside the NBA epitomizes the creativity and innovative spirit we’ve established throughout our successful, long-standing legacy with the league.”

These guys have a chemistry unmatched by any other sports studio show and appease casual NBA fans and the die-hard NBA fan base. As a result, the show can provide both fun coverage of the NBA and serious analysis from some of the games best to ever do it.

Johnson, who has worked as the host of the show since the beginning of the show in the 1990s and often is the mediator between the other guys, said in a statement, “I always say there are “got-to” jobs and “get-to”, jobs, and the four of us clearly have get-to, jobs. It’s been a journey of a lifetime to work on this show, with Charles, Kenny, and Shaquille at the desk alongside such an amazingly talented crew behind the scenes. I’m very blessed.”

Inside the NBA is a multiple-time Emmy Award-winning sports studio show. The entire crew has been together since 2011 when O’Neal joined the show after retiring from the NBA that year. Barkley, Smith, and Johnson have been doing Inside the NBA together since 2000, when Barkley joined the show. Over twenty-two years, the crew has become a staple in the lives of NBA fans. The crew opened the NBA season Tuesday night on TNT, but you usually will find them on Thursday nights.
