Kevin Love Receives Buyout

Five-time All-Star Kevin Love has reached an agreement to be bought out by the Cleveland Cavaliers. Love spent eight seasons in Cleveland, where he helped bring a long-awaited champion to the city, but now, he is looking for a new place to call home.

Love has played 41 games for the Cavaliers this season, starting in just three. Love averaged 8.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 1.9 assists while shooting 38.9 percent from the field, 35.4 percent from the three, and 88.9 percent from the free throw line in 20 minutes per game. While Love's stats have fallen dramatically, he can still provide key shooting and championship experience to any contending team.

As of right now, it's rumored that the Miami Heat are the frontrunners to land Love. While Love will not likely improve the Heat's chances of winning a title, he can still provide great floor spacing for the Heat's second unit while also being a great locker-room presence and on-court coach.

Love will also meet the Philadelphia 76ers before making his final decision. The 76ers have struggled to get over the hump when it comes to playoff time. The Sixers don't have a single player on their roster that has won a championship. Love could be that vocal leader come playoff time. The 76ers also have a struggling bench, and he could also provide a three-point spark for them.

It'll be interesting to see where Kevin Love signs and if he can still make an impact for a team with championship aspirations.
