Former Boston Celtics forward Grant Williams is heading to the Dallas Mavericks through a three-team trade with the San Antonio Spurs and the Boston Celtics.

Since the Boston Celtics season ended, there have been talks about whether or not Wiliams would be re-signing in Boston. After the 22-23 season ended, so did his rookie contract, which was a four-year/11.8 million dollar deal. Throughout his time in Boston, he showed out and was a great role player for the Celtics throughout the seasons and the late playoff runs.

The three-team trade included both the San Antonio Spurs and the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavericks acquired Williams from the Celtics through a sign and trade, Dallas traded away β€œReggie Bullock and an unprotected Dallas pick swap in 2030” to the Spurs (Shams) and the Celtics picked up β€œMultiple second-round picks.”
