Trade Destinations for Long-Time Wizard Bradly Beal

Earlier today, a report came out from Bleacher Report that the Washington Wizards and Bradley Beal will work on a trade this coming offseason. The Wizards early yesterday have been given a ‘Green Light’ to start a rebuild, and obliviously, it has to start with Beal. Bradley Beal signed a five-year / $251,019,650 contract with the Washington Wizards, including $251,019,650 guaranteed, this is a lot of money for someone who is always injured and is a really inconsistent player. In Beal’s last 10 games, he averaged 16 points per game (PPG), five rebounds per game (RPG), seven assists per game (APG), and worst of all two turnovers per game (TOPG). For a player of this caliber, this contract is just not worth it.

This is not something you want to give to a Beal type of player if you ask me. If this trade goes through I see a very pick-heavy trade with a few role players. The teams interested, according to ESPN, are the Knicks and 76ers.

As a Knicks fan, I personally won't be too excited about this trade. Simply because of how expensive Beal will be, it could put a huge dent in the Knicks’ plans. I say for the Knicks to ride it out, wait for Donovan Mitchell to become an available free agent, and possibly get Joel Embiid. If Embiid does not work out, they move on and continue to build. Hopefully, a backcourt of Jalen Brunson and Mitchell can shed some light on this forsaken franchise.

Philadelphia 76ers

When they talk about Bradley Beal, they almost always connect the city of brotherly love, to Beal. I cannot think of a better option for Beal than to go to the 76ers. The 76ers are always on the cusp of something great, with Tyrese Maxie doing everything he can next to Embiid, but for the rest of the players, it's pretty hard to take them seriously. George Niang requested out which seems like came out of nowhere, he probably wanted a bigger role somewhere else, however, nobody exactly needed his talents on their squad.

If the 76ers add Beal to their lineup not only will they keep Embiid but good role players will start to attract themselves to Philly. Harden’s future is uncertain, but I highly doubt it's with the 76ers.

Portland Trail blazers

It's no secret the Portland Trail Blazers need to extend Damian Lillard’s timeline with the franchise. I happen to think there is a golden opportunity here to finally pair the two stars who have been alone for a very long time. This will be the best Backcourt in the NBA. Lillard and Beal make a really good pairing here, however something to worry about is that they are both ball-dominant guards, they need the ball in their hands to do something useful. However, with the lack of a number two in Portland, I feel like this can work very well if they have the right pieces around them.

I would say defensive pieces the Blazers need to look at are PJ Tucker, Brook Lopez, and Mikal Bridges. If Bridges is along for the ride, I don’t see why Portland wouldn't contend. They would have the best backcourt in the NBA as mentioned earlier, but they will have some key role player who has shown he can score at will and at a high level.
