Game five of Celtics vs heat 5/25/22

Game five of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals between the Miami Heat and the Boston Celtics tips off tonight for a heated matchup in Miami.

The series is tied at two games a piece. It was said during NBA countdown that Jaylen Rose thinks Jaylen Brown will score 25 points this game alongside with Tatum’s 40 points to help the Celtics go up in this series. Steven A. Smith believes that as long as Jimmy Butler remains healthy throughout this game, the Heat will win this game and possibly the series as well.

He also stated that if the Heat lose tonight, this series will end Friday night in Boston regardless of Jimmy Butler’s health status. Personally, I think the Heat will win tonight’s game due to having home court advantage.

They held a moment of silence before the game for the recent school shooting as well as for an important Miami resident who recently passed away to pay their respects to the ones we lost.

Marcus Smart and Robert Williams will both be playing in tonight’s game for the Celtics despite their recent injuries in game three. Kyle Lowry is also back for the Heat.

To start things off, both teams struggled offensively their first few possessions, the heat went zero-for-six to start while the Celtics went zero-for-five, but eventually the Celtics were able to strike first. There were many turnovers throughout the first quarter hence the low scoring.

The Heat lead by two at the end of the first quarter 19-17. There was much more scoring in the second quarter. The Heat led the Celtics at the half by five, 42-37.

Honestly, I expected this game to be close as both teams are fighting on both ends of the floor. The Heat is out-rebounding the Celtics which is a main cause to their success so far. There has been at least five lead changes so far which goes to show how both teams are competing hard.

The largest lead for the Celtics was at the last minute of the third quarter being up by 11 going on an eight-and-zero run in two minutes and thirty seconds and continue to lead by 11 at the end of the third quarter. The Celtics ended the third quarter on a 10-zero run hence their largest lead of the night. Jimmy Butler is struggling only shooting three-for-13 from the field. The Celtics connect first in the fourth player and go up by 14.

The Heat are shooting five-for-37 from three point range while the Celtics on the other hand are catching fire. The game was basically over halfway through the fourth quarter as the Celtics led by more than 15 with four minutes remaining. The Celtics win a close game five by a score of 93-80, giving them the series edge three-two. Brown scored 25 as predicted and Tatum ended up scoring 22 points.
