Celtics Are Meeting With Two Free-Agent Forwards This Week
The Boston Celtics are meeting with free-agent forwards TJ Warren and Lamar Stevens.
Both are free agents and have had a lot of experience playing in the NBA, especially with Warren being a veteran. Stevens is a younger player but still has experience in the NBA and the playoffs.
Warren had previously played for the Phoenix Suns during the 2022-2023 season and had averaged 4.2 PPG as well as 3.1 rebounds per game. Warren’s highest PPG was during the 2019-2020 season when the teams had to play in the NBA Bubble half of the season. Warren averaged 19.5 PPG and was a leader for that Indiana Pacers team.
Stevens had been playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers the past three seasons and had averaged 5.3 PPG throughout his career. Stevens is able to provide with three-point shooting as well as his ability to have a defensive presence.
Either signing of Warren or Stevens will help this Boston Celtics team.
