Can the Nuggets Repeat Another Finals Win in 2023-2024?

The NBA playoffs this year were a little bit of a whirlwind. The Miami Heat, the eighth seed in this year's regular season standings, were in the finals. This was the first time since the New York Knicks did that in 1999. During this run, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Joel Embiid, James Harden, and especially Julius Randle were unprepared for the wrath of Jimmy Butler and his squad of second-round draft picks. All of these players, one way or another were injured during the time in the playoffs. Giannis suffered this in the first round and was out for two games. Also with Randle, who suffered two separate ankle sprains during both series against the Cavaliers & Heat.

That said, at least from an outsider looking in, it seems like the Eastern Conference is in some sort of frenzy in which any team could come out on top. With the Western Conference, it was a bit different because no analyst saw the Nuggets making the finals until after their first series win. It seems like all the news of Kevin Durant going to the Phoenix Suns overcrowded the true championship of the Western Conference. When the Nuggets made that clear, it was clear who the top dogs were. They swept through the Lakers in the conference finals then they saw the Miami Heat.

The Miami Heat were on fire and were virtually ready for anything the Nuggets through at them, however, Nikola Jokic was too much for them. His court vision and ability to pass on the fly with no hesitation is helpful for any team, which ultimately lead them to their first NBA championship. While this was happening, Jokic wasn’t trying or laughing or doing any of the sort you would think would be part of celebrating. It was confirmed a little later on what he looks like while celebrating, and it was with his horses after they won a race. Basketball is truly a hobby for Jokic.

I think just about any team can rival the Nuggets, but the way they played during the finals and how it seemed so similar to how they were in the regular season, it is hard to say. I would like to say with full confidence I believe the Nuggets could be back in the Finals, however, something is telling me Lebron James is right behind him with a vengeance.
