Bucks Complete 3-0 Week, Hold Second Seed in East
The Bucks completed an undefeated week, with two games coming on the road against the Charlotte Hornets and Chicago Bulls, and one game being at home against the Hornets. The Bucks(now 40-21) beat the Chicago Bulls(28-32) by a score of 113-97, and beat the Hornets(now 15-46) by a score of 111-99 on the road and 123-85 at home.
Though the three-game stretch does not represent a particularly stressful portion of the season for the Bucks(with games against the ninth-seeded Bulls and the 13th-seeded Hornets), it still demonstrates that the Bucks are building momentum with the hiring of Doc Rivers.
According to Pro Basketball Reference, Giannis has averaged 31.3 points per game and 11.3 rebounds per game over that stretch, still proving to the league why he is a formidable player. While Damian Lillard has only averaged 18.7 points per game over that stretch, he has also averaged 3.3 three-pointers made per game, shooting a blistering 40% clip from three.
The Bucks carry that undefeated week into a heavyweight matchup with the Clippers, who have been taking over the National Basketball Association since their acquisition of James Harden.
Rivers hopes to improve to 9-7 with the Bucks since his hiring and hopes to prove critics wrong since his initial 1-5 start with the team.
