It has been a rough few years for Chicago Bulls fans, and this season has only gotten worse.

Just a few days ago, it was reported that former all star shooting guard Zach LaVine would be undergoing surgery on his right foot and would miss the next four to six months. That effectively ends his season with the Chicago Bulls.

The Bulls coming into the all star break are ninth in the eastern conference and are 23-27 on the season. They have a shot at the play-in tournament as of now. They are also three games behind the Miami Heat for the eighth seed in the conference.

The next four games for the team are going to be tough. Tomorrow they face the Minnesota Timberwolves. Then, in the span of four days, they take on the Atlanta Hawks, Memphis Grizzlies, and the Orlando Magic. Only two of those teams are playoff contenders, but all of those teams are not ones to take likely. Memphis is on a five game losing streak, prime trap game. Atlanta is on a four game winning streak so they aren’t someone to underestimate.

Orlando is on a three game winning streak of their own and is seventh in the eastern conference. The Timberwolves are the biggest threat. They are second in the western conference and are tied with the Oklahoma City Thunder for the best record in their conference so they are the biggest obstacle to overcome.
