Bradley Beal Returns to the Lineup
Bradley Beal finally returned to the basketball court for the first time this season after missing the first seven games of the season. Beal recorded 13 points in 24 minutes in a 116-113 win for Phoenix over the Chicago Bulls in overtime. The Suns are still waiting to debut their big 3 of Kevin Durant, Bradley Beal, and Devin Booker due to Booker dealing with a calf injury. Devin Booker is said to be very close to a return as Shams Charania, a great NBA reporter, said, “Devin Booker is eyeing a potential return on this upcoming home stand that the Suns have.” Grayson Allen has done a great job of playing his role and helping the Suns stay afloat while they get healthy. Allen had a career-high eight 3s to go along with 26 points. This was a slept-on addition in the Deandre Ayton trade the Suns needed a player they could rely on to hit open 3s with the defense being so focused on the big 3.
Nurkic played a tremendous all-around game last night, adding 20 points, 17 rebounds, and eight dimes. Nurkic also had the game-winning bucket with 7.3 seconds left in overtime. The Suns need to continue to build chemistry as they get healthy and try to contend in a very tough western conference up next for Phoenix they will host their first In-season tournament game this Friday when the Los Angeles Lakers come to town, and the Suns look to avenge that early loss to the Lakers and get a step closer to heading to Vegas.
