The Boston Celtics have signed second-year player JD Davidson and summer league standout Jay Scrubb to two-way contracts.

Summer League is officially over for the Boston Celtics, which means the front office has to decide who will fill in the final roster spots for this upcoming season. It’s difficult to figure out who can be the best players to fill in the empty roster spots.

However, so far the Celtics have signed JD Davidson and Jay Scrubb to two-way contracts where both Davidson and Scrubb will go back and forth between Boston and Maine. Both will be able to get a chance to show out while playing for the Maine Celtics.

Davidson, who is a second-year player and was drafted by the Boston Celtics, was on a two-way contract last season and averaged 12.5 points a game along with 2.4 assists a game while mainly playing for the Maine Celtics.

Scrubb was drafted by the Brooklyn Nets in the 2020 draft in the late second round, was traded to the Clippers, and played for their G-League team in Ontario, and had then played for the magic and their G-League team. Scrubb averaged 14.4 points and 1.2 steals a game in the summer league.

Both Davidson and Scrubb are great signings for the Celtics.
