The Boston Celtics are the greatest NBA organization, with seventeen championships and a list of all-time players, including Larry Bird, Bill Russell, and Paul Pierce.

There are a few hall-of-farmers who played with the Celtics late in their careers.

Gary Payton (The Glove)

Payton was traded to the Celtics and played with Boston during the 04-05 season and averaged 11.1 points a game during this season, which is an amazing stat as he was nearing the end of his career.

Shaquille O’Neal (The Big Shamrock)

We all know Shaq, the greatest center of all time, O’Neal played for the Celtics in his last season of playing in the NBA, 2010-11 season. O’Neal averaged 9.2 points a game. O’Neal had wanted to make one last run for his fifth NBA championship, however, he fell short when Boston lost in the Eastern Conference semi-finals to the Miami Heat 4-1.

Pete Maravich (Pistol Pete)

An all-time great guard, a player not many people talk about enough, Maravich finished his career in Boston after being waived by the Jazz. Maravich was known as a threat for shooting from deep way before the three-point shot was even in the NBA. Maravich averaged 11.5 points a game in his final season in the NBA and only one season in Boston.
