Knicks Playoff Hunt

Madison Square Garden, NY (PSF) - The New York Knicks are always an interesting team to watch. No matter how bad they have been in the past years, people still watch them. Lately though, they are putting up more and more wins. Months into the 2022-2023 season, the Knicks currently sit as the seven seed in the Eastern Conference with a winning record. The Knicks are setup to be a playoff team with Julius Randle, Jalen Brunson, and RJ Barrett.

While this team did nothing crazy at the trade deadline, they did add a nice player in Josh Hart. Adding another solid player to the roster solidifies my point even more that the Knicks have the pieces to make the playoffs. Looking at their schedule, if the Knicks can close out games and beat teams that they are supposed to beat, they should end up, in my opinion, a five seed. Anything below that is destined to be a first round exit in the playoffs. The Knicks may be good but they can’t beat the Celtics, Bucks or 76ers in a series. The Knicks should aim to be a four or five seed because that puts them in a spot to play a now weaker Nets, Heat, or Cavaliers team. Playing one of these teams would be the Knicks best scenario to advance in the playoffs.

My prediction for the Knicks is they end up a five seed in the playoffs and play the Cavaliers in the first round winning the series in seven games.
