7-Eleven now open 24/7
After a season full of unfortunate events the Brooklyn Nets have finally received some promising news. As of today Kyrie Irving is now a full-time player and is allowed to play games in Barclays Arena.
This season Kyrie Irving has been the main topic in the media. The vaccine mandate that resided in New York prevented him from playing home games. Due to the mandate Kyrie towards to middle of the season, Irving was allowed to play away games where a mandate was not present but not allowed to play at home which recently caused a lot of tension over the last couple of weeks when the mandate was lifted and Irving was still not allowed to play. Basketball fans around the world were distraught because they felt they did not understand why Irving was not allowed to play. At the time of the original mandate lift, Kyrie was able to be in the arena without a mask, practice with the team, and even sit courtside at games, but was still not allowed to play. This led to plenty of backlashes aimed at the Mayor of New York Eric Adams.
During these last couple of weeks, sports analyst like Stephen A Smith who has been very critical of Irving’s personal beliefs would even decide to use his platforms to vocalize their frustration and confusion on the situation regarding Kyrie Irving being able to play.
Players and fans who have been very understanding and patient of the situation all season would decide to voice their opinions on the mandate which seemed to be an unfair and targeted decision made to make a statement by using Kyrie as an example. Kevin Durant’s team of Irving would voice his opinions on the situation saying that it made no sense to him and he spoke for a lot of the basketball fans around the world.
After almost nearly a season of the basketball world wondering if Kyrie would ever be full-time again yesterday on Irving’s birthday, he and fans were teased that there was a possibility that he would be able after the mandate was reviewed. Kyrie humble enough did not feed into the rumors and would state he did not want to be asked any question about the mandate change until it was official.
Today the world was informed that after the renewal the mandate change would allow Kyrie Irving to be able to play home games a game. With the inching towards the playoffs, this was big news for the Nets and its fans would hope to make a championship run this season. With Irving able to play the Nets and its fans are excited to see what this team will be able to accomplish by the end of this season.
