Curry Looking to Pass Ray Allen On All-Time 3 Pointers List

Steph Curry is undoubtedly the greatest 3 point shooter in NBA history. He currently sits in second place on the all time 3 pointers made list with 2,964 3 pointers made in his 13th year. Hall-of-Famer, Ray Allen, currently sits at number 1 with 2,973 3 pointers made throughout his 18 years in the league.

At this point, there’s no way that Curry doesn’t absolutely shatter Allen’s record. The question is, how far will he run away with it? It took Ray Allen 1,300 games to hit all those 3 pointers. Steph Curry has played a total of 786 games. 514 GAMES FEWER. Absurd.

Currently, Curry is averaging 3.8 3PT per game. That means if he stays at his current rate, he would break Allen’s 3 point record in his game against the Knicks on December 14th in Madison Square Garden. Assuming he hits more than 4 per game, he could break it the 13th against the Pacers in Indiana.

During a game in 2016 against the Pelicans, Curry hit 13 3PT during the game so it’s not impossible that he breaks the record against the 76ers tomorrow, especially because they’ll be in the Chase Center. Whenever it does happen, it’ll be a special night for the NBA and Curry will hold that record for a long, long time.
