WHAT HAPPENED WITH RYAN?

Gervontae "Tank" Davis beat "King" Ryan Garcia in devastating fashion on Saturday night, April 22nd, inside T Mobile Arena. The whole fight was a welcoming party in honor of Tank, from Tank's walkout with Chief Keef to Floyd Mayweather showing up inside the ring to give Tank his last pep talk right before the first bell.

The First round was a feeling-out process where the fighters tried to find each other's range. Despite being inaccurate, Garcia won the round by being more productive with his jab. The Second round came, and Garcia was much more aggressive, looking for his signature left hook to hurt Tank. During the round, Tank began to hold Garcia a lot to the point where the commentators began to call Tank" a wrestler. As the fighters broke from each other's grips, Ryan started to throw his hooks with serious power. He got sloppy and overextended himself, where Tank could roll under the hook and deliver a monstrous uppercut making Garcia's body stiff as he fell to the ground. Garcia popped up within seconds and continued to fight for five more rounds.

By the Seventh round, Tank was up on the scorecards by three points. Tank also began to become more aggressive with his jab, proving that the Southpaw stance was bothering Garcia more and more throughout the fight. Garcia started to cover up much more, making it easier for Tank to find his shots. As the two fighters broke from a clinch, Davis landed a body blow that touched Garcia's liver in the right spot, dropping Garcia as Garcia took a knee. He looked up at Tank and then nodded to Davis in respect as the referee was at the count of seven. When the referee was up to ten, Ryan Garcia's knee was still on the canvas making Gervontae Tank Davis the winner and the new "Face of Boxing."
