UFC 281: Fights to Watch

We are less than a week away from UFC 281 at Madison Square Garden with a loaded Main Card, headlined by two title fights.

With that being said, there is intriguing matchups all throughout the fight card on Saturday. Let’s get into a couple fights that should be getting more hype than they will throughout the week.

The first we’ll go is the first of fourteen fights on the night. Future rising star Carlos Ulberg (7-1) looks to notch another impressive performance against Romania’s Nicolae Negumereanu (13-1). Ulberg seems to be something of a prodigy at the Light Heavyweight class, and it will be interesting to see his next step.

Our second fight has the potential to be a classic showdown, as Molly “Meatball” McCann (13-4) takes on the 23-year-old up and coming Erin Blanchfield (9-1). McCann is box office, and Blanchfield is an impressive 3-0 in the UFC at just 23.

Our third fight to watch has the potential to steal the show on the main card. That’s right, we’re talking about Dustin “The Diamond” Poirier (28-7) vs. “Iron” Michael Chandler (23-7). Two legit title contenders in the Lightweight Division, two guys that have a lot of respect for each other, and two guys that love to throw down. It should be fun next Saturday.
