The New Classic

This past Saturday on AEW Collision, AEW President & CEO Tony Khan alongside Bryan Danielson announced a 12-man round robin tournament called the Continental Classic, in which the American Dragon will be the first entrant. The first round will take on the November 22 edition of Dynamite, going forward across all of the promotion three shows, Dynamite, Rampage, and Collision. The final match will take place at AEW World’s End on December 30.

Full Gear Ahead

Two new matches were made official for AEW Full Gear. First, “Absolute” Ricky Starks and Big Bill will defend their AEW World Tag Team Championship in a four-way match against La Faccion Ingobernable, FTR, and the House of Black. The next match will be for the TBS Title as Kris Statlander defends against Julia Hart, and the winner of Skye Blue vs. Red Velvet, to be determined this Wednesday on Dynamite, adding to what looks like a stacked show that already features AEW World Champ MJF defending against Jay White.

NXT’s Next Home

After WWE NXT’s run on USA Network comes to an end, the gold brand will have a new TV home in The CW. The news was announced on the channel’s social media accounts. The NXT name has been around for 13 years as a competition-style series and has since gained traction and popularity as a separate developmental brand through its television show and premium live events.
