Wrestling like it’s 1979

Last week, NWA President Billy Corgan announced that he had signed two deals with a “top 20 network.” According to Haus of Wrestling, that network has been revealed as The CW. The channel will broadcast two NWA products: Powerrr, their weekly wrestling series currently on YouTube, and a reality show that reveals what goes on in the day-to-day operations of the promotion. Both sides have yet to make an official announcement.

“Showtime is Almost OVer.”

This past Wednesday on AEW Dynamite saw what was as advertised – a massive announcement – from two-time Hall of Famer Sting, as his plans are made clear: The Icon’s calling it a career after his last match at AEW Revolution 2024. The former world champion’s debut in AEW came at Revolution 2021.

Hello again, TNA Wrestling

Following a historic Bound for Glory, in which new Tag Team Champions were crowned and Knockout standout Jordynne Grace became the first woman to win the Call Your Shot gauntlet, it was announced that Impact Wrestling is bringing back their beloved Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling name starting with Hard to Kill on January 13, 2024. Scott D’Amore, a TNA original and current president of the company, says, “we still hear the TNA chants wherever we go… Fans have longed for TNA Wrestling, so that’s what we’re bringing back in 2024. TNA Wrestling, we’re back!”
