¡Bienvenidos a WWE!

A sensation in Mexico and Japan, Stephanie Vaquer has landed her dream gig, signing a contract with WWE. The former CMLL Women’s and NJPW Strong Champion first tried out for the company in 2018, but never made the cut. Vaquer made her debut for WWE in Mexico City this past weekend, defeating Isla Dawn, and putting the women’s roster – namely that of NXT – on notice. In other news, another name that will be joining WWE is Joe Tessitore, who previously called college football games for ESPN and ABC.

London Calling

Thanks to the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, the first two matches have announced for AEW’s All In pay-per-view event in London. Mariah May has won the women’s tournament, now contending for her mentor “Timeless” Toni Storm’s AEW Women’s World Championship at the event. The celebration between Storm and May did not last long, as the latter brutally attacked the champ in shocking fashion. Over on the men’s side, Bryan Danielson won in his field, earning the right to challenge Swerve Strickland for the AEW World Title. Strickland, who won the gold at AEW Dynasty in April, plans to make sure Wembley Stadium is “[his] final countdown.”
