Craziness in the cage

This year’s WWE Elimination Chamber event was one to remember, as the show came to Montreal; the first pay-per-view in the city since Breaking Point 2009. This past Saturday saw Austin Theory retain his United States Title in the Chamber, Asuka gain RAW Women’s Title contention, and Undisputed Champion Roman Reigns fend off hometown favorite Sami Zayn.

Jay Jumps Off Japan

With his loss to Eddie Kingston at Battle of the Valley, Jay White’s career in New Japan Pro Wrestling has come to an end. As previously reported, The “Switchblade” lost a “Loser Leaves Japan” match against Hikuleo. When speaking with Justin Barasso from Sports Illustrated, the former IWGP world champion said, “I’m at peace with it. To me, I was doing what I was meant to be doing. Now I’m looking at what’s next… so much is possible. Impact, AEW, WWE… we’ll see.”

Show me the mone’

Mercedes Mone’ big bet on herself pays off as she defeats KAIRI as NJPW’s Battle in the Valley to become the new IWGP Women’s World Champion. This match was the New Japan in-ring debut for the former Sasha Banks, who quietly left WWE months after her walk out on RAW last May.
