The Golden Sky

For the first time in over 3 years, Iyo Sky reaches and grabs gold. This past Saturday at WWE SummerSlam, the former NXT Women’s Champion cashed in her Money in the Bank contract on Bianca Belair, following the EST’s WWE Women’s Championship win against former champ Asuka and Charlotte Flair. Belair, who was dealing with a knee injury sustained during the aforementioned triple threat match, was subsequently attacked by Bayley and Iyo Sky before the cash-in and win.

Cody/Brock III

With both men picking up wins against each other in the span of two months, The “American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes squared off against the “Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar in the rubber match. It was a knockdown, drag-out affair. Ultimately, it was the former Intercontinental Champion who finally bested the Beast. After the battle, Lesnar shook Cody’s hand, raising it in both victory and respect.

Uso Betrayed

Roman Reigns and Jey Uso squared off in Tribal Combat, and it contained the expected: brutality, pain, emotion, and all-out family war. Solo Sikoa had a hand to put out “Main Event Jey,” but the former tag champ kept fighting back. For a second, it looked like Jey Uso would pin his cousin for both the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship and Tribal Chiefdom, until an unknown figure pulled Jey out of the ring. That figure turned out to be his own twin brother Jimmy. Following Jimmy’s superkick, Roman picked up the win, retaining both his title and status.
