Chief-Checked
This past Friday’s SmackDown saw a fight between Tribal Chiefs as Roman Reigns faced Solo Sikoa in a flat out fight, with Tama Tonga getting involved and the eventual moment of Roman putting on the Ula Fala before Jacob Fatu brutalized the former Universal Champion. The Original Tribal Chief was left laying at the feet of the self-professed new Tribal Chief and the rest of the Bloodline. Elsewhere on Raw, the WWE Women’s Tag Team crowns are on the line, as Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn defend against Iyo Sky & Kairi Sane, and Zoey Stark & Shayna Baszler.
Afa Anoa’i 1942-2024
Afa Anoa’i, a multi-time tag team champion with his brother Sika and part of the legendary Samoan Dynasty in pro wrestling, has passed away this past Friday, August 16. Afa and Sika – collectively The Wild Samoans – dominated the tag team landscape and spanned many promotions, including WWE and the NWA. They were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2007 and the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2012. Afa is also the uncle of Roman Reigns, and is preceded by his brother Sika almost two months apart. Afa was 81.
Pro Sports Fans would like to extend their condolences to Afa’s family, friends, and fans.
