The Triple Threader - Apr. 1, 2024

Welcome to the Triple Threader, covering three select stories from the world of professional wrestling.

The Perfect Storm

This past week for WWE was a must-see between their flagship brands. This past Friday on SmackDown, Jade Cargill made her allegiance to the blue brand official as she signed the contract with General Manager Nick Aldis. In her promo, she kept things relatively short and sweet, saying “it’s about damn time… the storm has arrived.”

“…this is what happens when you f*** with the final boss!” - The Rock (WWE)

Nightmare scenario

Keeping up with the must-see trend, last Monday on RAW not only saw the return of CM Punk as he addressed his hometown Chicago fans, World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, and Seth’s WrestleMania challenger Drew McIntyre, but The Rock viciously assaulting Cody Rhodes near the latter’s coach, as well as whipping him with a custom weight belt, rubbing it with Cody’s blood. The Rock and Roman Reigns will square off against Seth and Cody in a tag team match at night one of the Show of Shows that will determine the stipulation for Roman vs. Cody for the Undisputed WWE Title the following night, be it a Bloodline ban from ringside, or Bloodline Rules where anything goes.
