Team Liquid Announces New Counter-Strike Roster
Team Liquid announced their new Counter-Strike 2 roster this week with the lineup looking like one of the most stacked in recent memory.
The team first announced its addition of the Brazilian rifler Felipe “skullz” Medeiros who formerly played for paiN Gaming before joining Liquid.
The next two announcements would be the two biggest members joining up to round out this international roster.
Liquid would announce next that they had signed Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken who was formerly on FaZe Clan. Twistzz previously played for Liquid for over three years before joining FaZe back in January of 2021. Twistzz joins with another Canadian pro player Keith “NAF” Markovic who was a teammate of his when Twistzz was first on Liquid. He will add a great veteran presence on the team especially with how well Twistzz has been performing since Counter-Strike 2 has been released.
The fifth member of the new roster would be a big name in the scene and the new in-game leader for this Team Liquid squad. Casper “cadiaN” Møller was the final addition to the team rounding out the five-man roster. CadiaN was the long time AWPer for Heroic and was recently released by the team. CadiaN adds a much-needed veteran to the in-game leader role on the team with YEKINDAR being demoted after the team’s struggles with their last roster.
This new roster is looking to become one of the best in the game at this moment, with this many star names on one roster the expectations are very high. If the roster fails to meet these expectations, it will be seen as one of the biggest failures the scene has seen for a while considering the amount of money Liquid have put into this roster.
Finally, Liquid announced that they would be having a new coach the Brazilian Wilton "zews” Prado who last coached for Fluxo.
