In an interesting week for AEW, the Continental Classic kicked off this past Wednesday on Dynamite and Saturday on Collision, with Jon Moxley, Jay White, Swerve Strickland, Claudio Castagnoli, and Brody King claiming crucial first wins. The winner of the round-robin tournament will also be declared the NJPW Strong Openweight & Ring of Honor World Champion come AEW World’s End on December 30. Staying with ROH, Wheeler Yuta picked up his third Pure crown after putting down Katsuyori Shibata.

Men & women of Wargames

This year’s Survivor Series: Wargames was one to talk about. The tandem of Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Shotzi, and Bianca Belair defeated Damage CTRL, which featured Bayley, Asuka, Kairi Sane, and WWE Women’s Champ Iyo Sky in their Wargames match. On the men’s side, the Viper Randy Orton made an earthshaking return to team up with Cody Rhodes, Sami Zayn, Jey Uso, and World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, to put out Judgment Day and Drew McIntyre. Other matches included Rhea Ripley vs. Zoey Stark for the Women’s World Title, and Gunther vs. The Miz for the Intercontinental crown. Both champions retained their respective titles.

Chicago’s Son Comes Home

After the men’s Wargames battle, CM Punk makes his return to WWE after 9 years away from the company. The former WWE World Champion comes to his hometown in Chicago, Illinois, to a raucous and excited crowd, as well as a very irate Seth Rollins. Punk is set to speak on RAW for the first time since January 2014 with a live mic tonight.
