Apeks to Add Entire Roster to Transfer-List

Apeks has announced that they will be giving their entire roster and coach permission to take transfer and contract offers from any organization. This begins a rebuilding process for the organization that made it all the way to the semi-finals of the BLAST Paris Major just a year ago.

The following players and coach will be put up on the market open for offers:

·         Joakim “jkaem” Myrbostad

·         Tim “nawwk” Jonasson

·         Ådne “sense” Fredriksen

·         Aleksandar “CacaNito” Kjulukoski

·         Torbjørn “mithR” Nyborg

The exception to this is Martin “STYKO” Styk who was with Apeks on a temporary contract after they benched the Slovakian rifler towards the end of 2023.

The COO of Apeks Anders Kjær told HLTV “Apeks remain committed to building a CS team that can compete with the best, and the club is excited for the opportunities this rebuild represents.”

This change follows Apeks having inconsistent finishes which started when they lost two of their notable players from their Paris Major run in Justinas “jL” Laekavicius who went to Natus Vincere and Damjan “kyxsan” Stoilkovski who joined Heroic.

The first signs of decline in play came during IEM Katowice 2024 where Apeks were the first team to be eliminated from the event after the Play-In following it up with being unable to qualify for IEM Dallas 2024 in the Europe Closed Qualifier.

Apeks would be eliminated during the Opening Stage in the PGL Copenhagen Major going 1-3 and having an overall poor showing for their fans who could start to see the cracks showing in the team.

The final decision came after Apeks would be eliminated by MIBR at ESL Challenger Melbourne in the semi-finals with a series score of 1-2 and losing the decider map in embarrassing fashion losing it 0-13 and not winning a single round to end off their event.
