The Blast Spring Final concluded on Sunday with Heroic taking the win in a three-map series against Vitality.

Jakob “jabbi” Nygaard took home the HLTV and 1XBET MVP medal for his performance during the event. Jabbi had an above one player rating in all but one game during Heroic’s run in the Blast Spring Final.

The event overall gave us some exciting matchups and moments that surprised the professional Counter-Strike community.

To start off the event, Imperial upset the major winners Vitality, 2-0 completely shutting out the European squad on Overpass, and getting a close win on Vertigo one of Vitality’s best map picks.

Imperial would go on to make an amazing run all the way to the semi-finals where they fell to Heroic in another close series.

This performance by the Brazilian team has helped them tremendously going into the player break to increase their value to other Brazilian teams like FURIA and Pain Gaming as they look to switch up their rosters.

Cloud9 once again had a disappointing showing as they lost against Vitality in a humiliating manner. After losing a close Overpass map which was Cloud9’s map pick the series went to Anubis. On map point against a light buy by Vitality, Cloud9 would commit two team kills to let Vitality take the map to overtime where they won 19-17. After their performance, Cloud9 will surely mix up their roster during the player break.

G2 had a good showing at the Spring Finals making it to the semi-finals where they lost to Vitality. After a poor showing at the Paris Major and IEM Dallas, G2 came to the Spring Final needing to show their fans that their team was still a major contender in competition. They did so by defeating both Cloud9 and an overperforming Imperial squad.

The Spring Final marks the last event before the month-long player break. Now teams have major decisions to make concerning roster moves before Tier One play begins at the Blast Fall Groups on July 13, 2023.
