As the ESPYS took place last night, the Las Vegas Aces power forward, A’ja Wilson, was awarded her first ESPY. Wilson has been known to be a dominant player for the Aces and is one of the main faces recognized in reference to the WNBA. A’ja has been in the league for only five years and has achieved almost everything a professional athlete can dream of. This season she is averaging 19.7 points per game, 9.3 rebounds per game, and shooting a 53.2% field goal percentage. Below are just a couple of the best moments from Wilson:

Since being in the WNBA, Wilson has been a 2-time MVP, a WNBA champion, a 5-time all-star, a 2-time all-star captain, and has been recognized as a Defensive Player of the Year. On top of her many other achievements, A’ja can now add an ESPY for best WNBA player on her list of accomplishments. Her hard work and award even got the recognition of Lebron, who gave Wilson and the WNBA a shoutout within his speech at the award show. Congrats on your award, and thank you for your hard work Wilson!
